XTERRA BOARDS is built on one family’s love of the water, swimming, SUPing and sense of adventure. Over time, we found our enthusiasm for stand up paddleboarding bumping up against travel plans, a growing family and a general need for convenience. Trips to the beach with an epoxy board became a hassle and we began to leave the board at home, only to miss it once we arrived on the water.

As quality inflatable stand up paddleboards (iSUPs, Air SUPs) began to come to market, we saw an opportunity for a newly convenient way for us to again enjoy both our growing family and our passion for paddleboarding, so we developed our own. The Shakespeare Pub & Grille is an authentic British Pub that was established in August of 1990 and is both owned and operated by British Ex-Pats. The decor of the establishment couples the old world, English Tudor style on the interior (albeit with large picture windows) with a patio deck wrapping the exterior.

All of our menu items are made from scratch in the British comfort food style found in most establishments across the isles. Our authentic Fish and Chips are a favorite amongst the locals & have won numerous awards over the years. We use only top quality ingredients & all of our fried foods are cooked in trans fat, cholesterol free canola. We also serve standard fare of the western world such as Burgers and Salads.

Our Draught & Bottled Beers reflect the most popular brands from Britain, Ireland, mainland Europe and The U.S. and we are one of the select establishments in San Diego to have a beer engine and sell a Cask-Conditioned beer, often referred to as 'real ale', for the enjoyment of our beer connoisseurs!

Meet Dr. Prater

       Dr_Shahrzad_Prater_Headshot.jpgDr. Prater understands the multi-disciplinary approach to overall dental health and a beautiful smile.  She participates in several multidisciplinary study groups in San Diego.  Dr. Prater continues to work with teams of the finest general dentists and specialists in an effort to create and implement comprehensive dental treatment plans for complex adult cases.

Dr. Prater’s free time is spent with her family.  Her son keeps her and husband, Zein, very busy, not to mention their two dogs, a cat and a fish.  They believe being a parent provides the compassion to understand and help parents and patients accomplish the smiles they deserve.

Dr. Shahrzad Prater received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.   She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  She completed her post-doctoral residency training also at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she was awarded a degree in Advanced Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthodpedics.  This intensive post-graduate training exposed Dr. Prater to many different bracket systems, such as self ligating vs. traditional, Invisalign and ceramic brackets, and early treatment modalities to predict and modify jaw discrepancies.  Dr. Prater understands that a crooked smile is more than just crooked teeth and may be due to jaw asymmetries or discrepancies.

Dr. Prater completed her research in Cone Bean Computerized Tomography in predicting canine root resorption.  As a completely paperless office and all digital x-rays, Dr. Prater is on the cutting edge of orthodontics. Click for more...
